SO1 – To explore and quantify climate risks and to develop a rational planning methodology for the adaptation of CSCs to climate change.
SO2 – To design security risk diagnosis and prediction tools and to establish robust procedures for the assessment of threats (e.g. terrorism, cyber-attacks and cargo thefts) and vulnerabilities associated with CSCs.
SO3 – To identify emerging CSC hazards due to the introduction of new technologies (e.g. autonomous ships) and operational environments (e.g. Arctic shipping) in the digital industrial era, and strengthen CSC safety management through the development of new dynamic risk economics.
SO4 – To develop new theoretical analysis frameworks for risk-based resilience and sustainability studies in CSCs from a multi-dimensional, multi-level and multi-actor perspective.
